ORLANDO, FL (January 10, 2023) – Nautique Team athlete Pato Font’s World Record has been confirmed by the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF). Pato set the Men’s Open Trick Ski record in October behind the Ski Nautique, and the score of 12,590 points has now been solidified and stands as the new world record.
“I’m extremely happy to finally achieve one of the biggest goals of my career.” said Pato Font. “I’d like to thank everyone who has supported me and a special thanks to the Nautique family for believing in me.”
Training exclusively behind the record-setting Ski Nautique, Pato was right at home in competition as he put together the two world-record passes that equated to 12,590. While Pato has skied amazing all season, it seemed to all come together for him as he stamped his name in the history books.
“We’re ecstatic that team Nautique athlete Pato Font has set a world record behind the record-setting Ski Nautique,” said Nautique president Greg Meloon. “It’s exciting to watch Pato push the boundaries of waterskiing and establishing new standards that will be chased by athletes for years to come.”
