ORLANDO, FL (July 14, 2026) – The 2026 Nautique European Wakesurf Championships hosted the world's top wakesurf athletes at Botaski in Seseña, Spain, where competitors from 14 countries battled for podium finishes at the third stop of the 2026 Nautique Wakesurf Series.

Nautique has proudly partnered with Botaski for more than a decade, and the facility once again proved to be an exceptional venue for world-class competition. Under the direction of Ricardo Botas and Cristina Medem, Botaski's two purpose-built man-made lakes – engineered with 15-meter-deep water and protected shorelines - provided ideal conditions for wakesurfing behind the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 Paragon.

The event welcomed 56 competitors across 23 professional and amateur divisions, continuing the Nautique Wakesurf Series' commitment to growing the sport by creating opportunities for riders of all levels to compete at the same premier event. Athletes traveled from the United States, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, and many other nations from around the world, highlighting the continued international growth of competitive wakesurfing.

Team Nautique athletes dominated the professional divisions with a series of podium finishes.

Competing in all four Professional Men's disciplines, Team Nautique athlete Noah Flegel continued to demonstrate why he is one of the sport's most accomplished athletes. Noah captured first-place finishes in Pro Men Surf, Pro Men Foil, and Pro Men Foil-Straps while successfully defending his title as the undefeated Pro Men Foil Champion. During Pro Men Foil, Noah landed 360 shove-its and attempted backflips while unstrapped, continuing to push the progression of foil wakesurfing with tricks rarely attempted in competition.

“The level of riding improves year after year at the European Wakesurf Championships – largely due to the incredible conditions and perfect wake behind the G23 Paragon,” said Team Nautique athlete Noah Flegel. “I was so stoked to defend three of my titles from last year, and I can’t wait to go even bigger and better at next year’s event!”

The Pro Men Surf podium was swept entirely by Team Nautique athletes, further reinforcing Nautique's leadership at the highest level of competitive wakesurfing. With Noah in first place, Team Nautique athletes Joey Harris and John Akerman took the second and third spots on the podium, respectively. John stomped a frontside indy air reverse wave transfer further demonstrating the progressive level of riding showcased throughout the event.

Beyond his Pro Men Surf podium finish, John also secured third place in Pro Men Skim, while Joey achieved a third-place finish in Pro Men Foil-Straps.

In Pro Women Surf, Team Nautique athlete Bailey Dunn claimed victory with Team Nautique athlete Jodi Grassman finishing second. In Pro Women Skim, Jodi earned second place while Bailey rounded out the podium with a third-place finish.

“Spain was such a fun stop!” said Team Nautique athlete Bailey Dunn. “We had some of the best conditions all weekend, and riding behind the G23 Paragon is such a blast. Huge thanks to Nautique for putting on amazing events around the world and creating so many opportunities for us to come together and enjoy the sport we love.”

With the European Wakesurf Championships complete, athletes now turn their attention to the fourth stop of the five-event Nautique Wakesurf Series, the Nautique USA National Wakesurf Championships presented by GM Marine.

"The Nautique European Wakesurf Championships continue to showcase just how much wakesurfing has grown on the international stage," said Nautique President, Greg Meloon. "Our longstanding partnership with Botaski provides an incredible venue for athletes from around the world to compete, and we're proud to see Team Nautique continue to raise the bar with performances that are advancing the sport."
