After nearly two decades, the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championship presented by GM Marine made its highly anticipated return to Australian waters, delivering an unforgettable weekend on the iconic Gold Coast. With the prestige of being crowned World Champion and the Overall Nautique Wake Series Champion on the line, the intensity of the competition was palpable as the world’s best professional and amateur wakeboard, wakeskate, and foil athletes battled it out at the fourth and final stop of the 2024 Nautique Wake Series.

Celebrated for its industry-leading hull design and innovative technology, the all-new Centennial Edition Super Air Nautique G23 threw perfect wakes tailored to the wide array of skill levels across over 30 divisions. Spectators filled the beach to cheer for over 150 competitors ranging from 6 to 55 years of age, representing over 30 countries. Whether it be emerging talents or seasoned professionals, the G23’s crisp and customizable wakes provided world-class performance for every heat.

After an intense weekend of competition, Team Nautique athlete Zahra Kell emerged victorious as the 2024 Nautique Wake Series Overall Champion in Pro Women Wakeboard. With wins at the 2024 Nautique Moomba Masters and the 2024 Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championship and a second-place finish at the 2024 Nautique Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament, Zahra proved to be an unstoppable force all season long.

“To win the Nautique Wake Series Overall Championship two years in a row is an absolute dream!” said Nautique athlete Zahra Kell. “I am on could 9 and am so thankful for Nautique Boats and the WWA!”

Team Nautique Athlete Noah Flegel also put on an incredible performance, taking the wins in both Pro Men Foil and Pro Men Foil Straps. With these wins, Noah has officially completed the 2024 season winning every single Pro Men foil division offered between the Nautique Surf Series and Nautique Wake Series.

To top off the weekend, the Super Air Nautique G23 made history by pulling the first ever double KGB landed in a traditional contest format!  As the G23 produced a textbook double-up, Pro Men rider Thomas Herman executed the double heelside backroll with a backside 360-degree spin. Nautique was proud to provide the perfect platform for this monumental achievement as the Super Air Nautique G23 continues to push the limits of the sport.

With a season full of historical industry firsts and unforgettable memories, the 2024 Nautique Wake Series has been a massive success. Nautique Boats would like to thank all the participants, sponsors, vendors, and fans that made this season one we will never forget!
