Fans on hand watched as the best wakesurfers in the world put on amazing performances during the final event of the Nautique Wakesurf Series, with two Team Nautique athletes claiming overall titles.
The Nautique Wakesurf Series was comprised of five stops around the globe this year, with the culmination over the weekend at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Team Nautique athlete Jodi Grassman earned enough points to take the overall titles in the Pro Women surf and skim divisions.
“To win the overall Nautique Wakesurf Series is one of my biggest accomplishments.” said Nautique athlete Jodi Grassman. “Being able to travel the world doing what I love, while representing the companies who believe in me means everything. I can’t wait for the 2024 season to see how much the Nautique Wakesurf Series continues to grow and to compete with so many talented athletes who push me to achieve accomplishments such as this one.”
During the Pro Men divisions, it was another Nautique athlete, Drew Drennan that earned enough points to take the overall titles in the Pro Men surf and skim divisions as well. Drew rode amazing all year long and felt right at home in the last event behind the G23 Paragon.
“Winning the overall for the Nautique Wakesurf Series has taken me around the world to compete against some of the best athletes in the industry and share my love and excitement for this sport with others.” said Nautique athlete Drew Drennan. “Taking the top spot is something I will never forget. Thank you to everyone who puts the hard work in to making this series possible.”
“The Nautique Wakesurf Series has taken wakesurfing across the globe in 2023!” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “I’m proud of Jodi and Drew for their accomplishments and it was exciting to see the all-new G23 Paragon on the water to cap off an incredible season.”
