ORLANDO, FL (January 31, 2022) – The American Water Skier Association (AWSA) named Team Nautique athlete Anna Gay the Trick Skier of the Year for 2021. Anna dominated the Open Women’s division in 2021, winning the 61st Nautique Masters as well as the National and World Championships.
Training exclusively behind the Ski Nautique, Anna worked tirelessly all year long and dedicated her time to achieving the highest-level of results that she could. After an incredible year, Anna looks forward to 2022 and the challenge of continuing her string of major victories in the Women’s Open Trick division.
“I am honored to be named AWSA Trick Skier of the Year. 2021 was an incredible year and I’m so thankful to my family and sponsors for all of their constant support. Women’s trick skiing was pushed to an extremely high level and I’m excited to see where it will go in 2022.”
“I am extremely happy for Anna Gay to take home this prestigious honor,” said Nautique President Greg Meloon. “Being named the AWSA Trick Skier of the Year is a great accomplishment, and after Anna’s incredible year in 2021 behind the Ski Nautique, I’m glad that all of her hard work and dedication has paid off!”
