MELBOURNE, AUS (March 12, 2026) – The 65th Nautique Moomba Masters presented by GM Marine brought an action-packed weekend to Melbourne, Australia. For the first time ever, Moomba Masters coincided with Formula 1’s Australian Grand Prix and the return of AFL in Melbourne, drawing an incredible crowd of nearly 2 million spectators. On one of the sport’s most iconic stages, several Nautique athletes captured the coveted Nautique Moomba Masters titles while multiple new water ski course records were set across both junior and professional divisions.

As part of Melbourne’s largest community festival, massive crowds packed the banks of the Yarra River to watch the world’s most elite junior and professional waterskiers and wakeboarders compete for a chance to reign victorious at the first major event of the season.

Every course record was set behind the all-new 2026 Ski Nautique, a testament to the sport’s rapid progression and to Nautique’s cutting-edge innovation empowering athletes to push limits and achieve their ultimate potential.

Among those who set course records, Team Nautique athlete Erika Lang was a force to be reckoned with, scoring 10,930 points in the Open Women Trick final to break the course record for the third consecutive year. This earned Erika her fourth straight Nautique Moomba Masters Open Women Trick title and marked her eighth career Nautique Moomba Masters victory in the division. Team Nautique athlete Neilly Ross secured the second spot on the Open Women Trick podium scoring 9,630 points.

“I’m so excited to take the win in Women’s Tricks at the 65th Nautique Moomba Masters,” said Nautique athlete, Erika Lang. “This event is always incredible, with huge crowds that provide an amazing atmosphere for the athletes. The Ski Nautique makes competing a breeze, delivering clean, consistent wakes that allow me to execute my tricks with confidence every time.”

Team Nautique athlete Charlie Ross delivered flawless performances pass after pass throughout the weekend, claiming the top spot on the podium in both Junior Men Slalom and Open Men Slalom with 3 @ 10.75m (39.5 ft) and 3.5 @ 10.75m (39.5 ft), respectively. The victory in Open Men Slalom marked Charlie’s second consecutive Nautique Moomba Masters title in the division. Within striking distance, Team Nautique athlete Thomas Degasperi finished a strong second, skiing 3 @ 10.75m (39.5 ft).

“For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of being a Moomba Masters Champion,” said Nautique athlete, Charlie Ross. “Coming back to the Yarra, I was anxious and excited to defend my title here last year - my first ever pro win. Through Under 21 and prelims, the perfected Ski Nautique and Yarra felt dialed - making me even more excited for the Moomba Monday finals. I couldn’t be happier to get it done and go back-to-back. Hoping next year to push for a hat trick!”

In the Open Women Slalom division, the Ski Nautique pulled Team Nautique athlete Regina Jaquess to her second career Nautique Moomba Masters win with 1 @ 10.75m (39.5ft). Regina also found herself on the Open Women Jump podium, taking second place with a 51.9m (170ft) jump in the final.

“What a great way to start the 2026 season off behind the new Ski Nautique! Competing in the middle of downtown Melbourne, Australia and having the banks lined with spectators cheering is truly an amazing experience. With the support of Nautique Boats behind me, it’s shaping up to be a great 2026 season!”

As the men hit the water for the Open Men Jump division, the GM Marine powered Ski Nautique pulled Team Nautique athlete Ryan Dodd to soar the lengths of the Yarra River. Jumping an impressive 68.7m (225ft), Ryan took the win for the eighth time in his career.

“This year was extra special for me, especially after missing last year due to injury,” said Nautique athlete Ryan Dodd. “Every year, it gets even sweeter to compete at the Nautique Moomba Masters. I’m super proud of my efforts and thankful for all the support that I have received. It felt amazing to pull through under pressure, putting a big, fun jump out there for the crowd, lighting up the banks of the Yarra. Riding the lightning once again!”

History repeated itself once again in the Pro Women Wakeboard division, with the award-winning Super Air Nautique G23 throwing perfect wakes for the sport’s best. Team Nautique athlete Zahra Kell proved she’s simply unstoppable, claiming her fourth consecutive Nautique Moomba Masters title and fifth career victory, cementing her place as one of the most dominant pro women wakeboarders in the world.

“Winning Moomba Masters is such an incredible feeling!” said Nautique athlete Zahra Kell. “Being behind the G23 whilst riding through the city of Melbourne is such a special experience and coming out on top means the world to me, I’m so excited!”

The victories achieved by Nautique athletes Erika Lang, Charlie Ross, Regina Jaquess, Ryan Dodd, and Zahra Kell earned them the well-deserved qualification for the prestigious 66th Nautique Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament presented by GM Marine that will take place this Memorial Day weekend at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

“The 65th Nautique Moomba Masters set the stage for an amazing year ahead as we anticipate the debut of the Nautique Water Ski World Series,” said Nautique President, Greg Meloon. “Watching the world’s best ski and wake athletes push boundaries and shatter course records behind the 2026 Ski Nautique and G23 was nothing short of extraordinary.  Moomba Masters continues to be a celebration of skill, innovation, and the spirit of competition, and we can’t wait to see these incredible athletes carry that momentum into the rest of the season.”
