ORLANDO, FL (September 3, 2025) – The world’s best waterski athletes etched their names into history behind the legendary Ski Nautique during the 2025 IWWF World Waterski Championships, held at the scenic Parco Nautico del Sesia in Recetto, Italy. As the exclusive towboat for the event, the world-record setting Ski Nautique delivered the precision, consistency, and elite performance required for athletes to achieve remarkable results.
Team Nautique athletes dominated across multiple disciplines, leaving a lasting impression on the 2025 World Championships. In the Open Women Trick division, it was a clean sweep for Nautique, with all three podium spots claimed by team athletes. Neilly Ross delivered a standout performance, scoring 11,300 points to earn the coveted title of Women’s Trick World Champion. She was joined on the podium by Erika Lang in second place and Anna Hunter, who took third.
The Open Men Slalom division culminated in exciting fashion with a thrilling run-off between Nate Smith and Team Nautique’s Charlie Ross after both athletes ran 1 @ 43 off in the final. In the high-pressure tiebreaker, Charlie delivered a strong performance, skiing 1.5 @ 41 off, just one buoy short of Smith. This effort earned Charlie a well-deserved second place finish, cementing his status as one of the sport’s rising stars.
The Ski Nautique also pulled Team Nautique athletes Ryan Dodd and Regina Jaquess to second place finishes in Open Men Jump and Open Women Slalom, respectively, with a massive 70.1m (230ft) jump and 1 @ 41 off.
Following a week of exceptional competition, Nautique extends its congratulations to all the athletes who competed at the 2025 IWWF Waterski World Championships. From personal bests to world-class podium finishes, Nautique is honored to be a part of each skier’s journey and looks forward to supporting the continued growth of waterskiing worldwide.
“The performances at the 2025 IWWF Waterski World Championships were nothing short of extraordinary,” said Nautique President, Greg Meloon. “Laying the foundation ahead of every incredible athlete, the Ski Nautique’s capabilities empowered each athlete to rise to the occasion and deliver the highest performance ever witnessed on this stage.
