South America and Nautique04/05/10   

Last week I travelled to Medellin, Colombia, with Nautique’s South American distributor, Henrik Laursen from Miami Nautique International. We visited during some international waterski and wakeboard events and had the opportunity to meet many people from all over South America that love Nautique boats!

In fact, we visited a club, Club Campestre Llanogrande, which owns a Nautique from the 1990’s, with 12,000 hours! That’s right, 12,000 hours. They loved the fact that they have been able to use their Nautique for so long and it is still incredibly dependable. Most people won’t use their boats for 12,000 hours but this boat is a great testimony to how well our Nautique boats are built. And the best part is Nautique keeps getting even better!

While in Colombia I had the opportunity to hang out with current Men’s Overall World Waterski Champion, Javier Julio. Javier, from Argentina, seemed like a great guy who really enjoyed winning his world championship last summer behind a Ski Nautique. If you are in Javier’s native Argentina and are looking for a great coach he would love to meet you!

Besides Javier, I also met many other people from several different South American countries and Nautique enthusiasm is high. People from all over the world appreciate a great product and the Nautique brand is no exception.

As I travel for Nautique it is always fun to hear people rave about our boats, even if it does sometimes happen through a translator. It is exciting for our team to know that Nautique brings so much joy to people all over the world.

The weather and water are both warming up and it is going to be a great summer. If you are already part of the Nautique family I hope you are as excited as I am about getting more lake time. If you are not part of the Nautique family, then call the dealer closest to you and get ready for your best summer ever!
