This is an exciting time of year for all of us at Nautique. Summer is here and watersports enthusiasts around the world are enjoying many Nautique events.

Already this year we have had some exciting events.

In January we held our first ever international O’Brien Big Dawg presented by Nautique competition in Lima, Peru. Lima was an exciting and beautiful place to hold this fun event and those of us who went are already looking forward to next year’s Big Dawg in Lima. We also announced that Big Dawg will be traveling to Australia in 2012 to be part of the prestigious Moomba Masters, which is an exclusive Nautique event. Also, we have other events in the works and hope to have one more announcement about an international Big Dawg event in the next few days!

Here in the USA the Big Dawg competition is growing and this summer we have qualifying events in both Texas and Michigan before the finals which will be held during September. This year’s Big Dawg finals will be the fabulous Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Florida.

In late April we kicked off the wakeboarding season with the Nautique Wake Games here in Orlando, Florida. Thousands of people came out to Orlando Watersports Complex to watch over 200 of the world’s best wakeboarders and wakeskaters perform behind the world’s best boats (exclusively Nautique boats, of course.)

This week our team is preparing for the most prestigious event in the watersports world, the Masters, in beautiful Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, Georgia. The Masters is truly an international event as competitors and visitors travel from around the world to see the world’s best water skiers, wakeboarders and wakeskaters compete. An invitation to compete at the Masters is the most coveted invitation an athlete can receive in our industry and they all go all out to win at this prestigious event. In late July Nautique will be hosting the annual Nautique WWA National Championships in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All around the USA wakeboarders and wakeskaters are already preparing for this competition and a few will be able to declare that they are the US National Champion!

There are many more events Nautique will host or be at this year including the Canadian Water Ski Championships, The Canadian Wakeboard Championships, the Nautique Asian Championships, US Water Ski National Championships, and hundreds of local tournaments around the world, including INT events.

At Nautique we care about our industry and we are happy to support so many fun events that give our friends throughout the watersports world an opportunity to gather and compete. We hope that you will plan to join us for as many as possible; it’s going to be a great summer!
